Personal Life 

Bishop Thomas R. Gray Sr. married  Apostle Shirley Gray in 1980. Together they have raised seven children and have been blessed with 40+ grandchildren and more than a dozen great grandchildren.

Background

Bishop Gray attended and graduated from Full Gospel Church Bible College in Stafford TX in 1985. He was ordained as a minister in 1987 and installed as Bishop in 1996, and has worked actively in the ministry continuously. He is a Bishop and performs the work associated with that title but his main calling for which God has chosen him in that of a Prophet. He teaches the Word of God with power and authority and the Spirit of God uses him to confirm His word through words of wisdom and prophecy. 

Career

Bishop Gray served as Associate Pastor of Bethlehem Temple Church in San Jose, California in the late 1980’s under the tutelage of Pastor William D. Andrews.  In 1991, he broadened his boarders and became founder and Pastor of Confirming Word Church and Principal of Confirming Word Christian Academy. He served as the interim pastor of First Church of God in Edenborn, PA in 1995-96 which during this short tenure grew more than 83% in membership. He was also a Resident Staff Minister at the Gospel Rescue Mission in Stockton CA were he personally interacted on a daily basis with problems of homelessness, drug addiction, alcoholism, and unemployment. He has ministered in revivals and evangelism all over the United States and has appeared on several Christian television programs.  He is also author of several Christian books and teaching syllabuses.

At present, he provides spiritual leadership to those in the 5-fold Ministry and their church leadership from the East and West coast of the United States. He is the Presiding Bishop of Confirming Word Ministries and Chancellor of Confirming Word School of Ministry.  He is also the President of Confirming Word Nationwide Ministry which includes several outreach ministries 

• The Lord's House - A place to come to retreat with the Lord
• Conversation with God - A prayer ministry
• Come and Dine  - A weekly Bible Study
• The Healing Room - Dedicated to providing teachings and resources to aid in healing the sick.

Background

Shirley Gray attended and graduated from Full Gospel Church Bible College in 1986. She continued to develop her Christian education at Fellowship Bible Institute in San Francisco, CA. She was ordained as a minister in 1993 and inducted into the office of an Apostle in 2009.  

 Career

Apostle Gray worked as a teacher for first through third graders at Inner City Christian Academy at the Gospel Rescue Mission in Stockton, CA and received the honor of “Teacher of the Year” 1990-91. Later that year she was able to fulfill her dream of providing superior private Christian education to inner city children at an affordable cost, when she helped her husband start Confirming Word Christian Academy for K-8th graders. She is the Dean of Education of Confirming Word School of Ministry as well as one of the lead Professors.  Apostle Gray has a passion for feeding the hungry and soon will be heading up a new addition to their ministry which will focus on providing meals to children and seniors. 

Shirley has 25 years of corporate management experience; most of which was spent in healthcare institutes. She is a wife, and grandmother and enjoys writing.  She has authored a number of Christian books with her husband Bishop Gray.
